This special tank is in amazing shape from the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany. The tank features the Olympic Rings as well as the Munich specific logo, the "Bright Star". The "Bright Star" symbol was created by graphic designer, Otl Aicher, and it was part of an effort to shine a more positive light on Germany, given that this was their first time hosting the games post World War II. These Olympics were thus marketed as "the cheerful Games", and Aicher also designed the first official Olympics mascot, the dachshund "Waldi".

Unfortunately these efforts to brighten Germany's reputation were overshadowed by what came to be known as the "Munich massacre". Members of a terrorist organization kidnapped and murdered several hostages as a result of the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The tragedy did inspire higher safety protocol at future games.

The tag says large but fits like a modern unisex adult extra small, this shirt is rib knit and stretchy, spots on the front, see pics
