This sweet shirt commemorates the AAU Junior Olympic Games, sponsored by Sears. As the name suggests, this annual competition was organized by the Amateur Athletic Union, and it was the largest national, multi-sport event for youth athletes in the US. Because of the popularity of the AAU youth sports program, they began holding two national championship competitions, and represented sports included baseball, bowling, field hockey, golf, roller derby, table tennis, and volleyball, as well as many others.
