Martin's NASCAR career began in the early 80s and he bounced around to several teams before joining Roush Racing, who he stayed with until the end of the 2006 season. During his time with Roush, Martin drove the No. 6 Valvoline Ford, and then later the No. 6 Viagra Ford. Although he never surpassed second place in the NASCAR Cup Series, Martin did earn five IROC championships, which is more than any other driver.
